15 Jun Sana Domi: Technopole at the presentation of the smart home care cabinet

On June 12, the CNR Technopole laboratories participated in the press conference presenting Sana Domi, an industrial research project implemented by Hecareit! in collaboration with PROAMBIENTE and MISTER with co-financing from the Emilia-Romagna Region (Call for the attraction and consolidation of innovative startups, POR-FESR 2014-2020).

During the meeting, various voices of those involved intervened to explain characteristics and objectives, results and future prospects, with the aim of fueling a discussion on the issues and spreading the project throughout the territory.

The project develops a modular system capable of transforming any room, even at one’s own home, into an isolated and sanitized room in which a patient can be isolated, monitored and cared for by designated caregivers or loved ones in 24 solar hours.

The heart of the system is a technological life-saving cabinet, SISTO, installed just outside the room equipped with the useful technologies to sanitize, isolate and monitor the environment and the patient.

Thanks to the collaboration and willingness of ASP Terre di Castelli of Vignola (Modena), it was possible to test the SISTO cabinet inside two rooms, occupied by the RSA guests.

MISTER has developed an intelligent monitoring system that, from the video stream of a camera, interprets the patient’s behaviors in real time and ensure timely intervention of caregivers in case of critical issues.

PROAMBIENTE is involved in indoor air quality and contributed to the implementation of the monitoring system. Through the construction of a Single Board Computer (SBC) platform with related IAQM-Sanadomi diagnostic module, the system records and analyzes the most important air quality parameters and reacts autonomously to maintain them. Information is collected and displayed in real time on an online dashboard.

SISTO is a virtuous example of what the laboratories of Tecnopolo Bologna CNR PROAMBIENTE and MISTER are doing on the ground: supporting companies and startups that want to innovate by connecting them with local realities.
