CNA AND TECNOPOLO TOGETHER FOR TRAINING ON ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY

CNA Hub 4.0 and MISTER Smart Innovation, laboratory of the Bologna CNR Technopole, have organized technical-scientific training event on issues that address environmental sustainability and the circular economy. The participants were employees of regional CNA and CNA HUB Innovazione.

The event started with the greetings and introduction by Dr. Valeria Pignedoli, Manager of Tecnopolo Bologna CNR. The training event was then conducted by Dr. Anna Sagnella and Dr. Marco Ardoino, experts from MISTER Smart Innovation.

During the event, the objectives of Agenda 2030 and of the European Green Deal were presented, as well as the EU actions aimed at developing circular economy models for various production and commercial sectors such as electronics, textiles, packaging, waste, plastics.

The concept of upstream innovation was explained as a method for creating sustainable and circular systems capable of guaranteeing a reduction or elimination of waste in the environment. Some specific business cases were discussed to illustrate the reuse and / or recycling of products and materials. Finally, the materials were presented, e.g. recycled plastics, bioplastics, natural polymers, bio-based plastics, that in the future will be able to replace plastic in products ensuring a lower environmental impact in terms of:

  • carbon dioxide emission
  • generation of plastic waste,
  • reduced waste of materials
